I bought me a 6 inch silver arrow and a 5 inch lima shovelnose and its been two days neither has eaten ive tried blood worms and hikari floating pellets. The arrow goes to them he bit the blood worms once and continued to swim. The lima is in his own world swimming in the current.

**Note-When i bought them it looks like they had just been fed so not sure if there still full. But from my understanding baby fish like to eat a lot more. Anyway they had the arrow on crickets and pellets i dont want to feed him crickets since those are a pain and probably not healthy. Any suggestions?

first go grab you some crickets.

here is why even if you dont want to feed that long term you need to see if he eats at all or if he doesnt want to eat.

if he eats the crickets then you know your issue is training him onto a different type of food and can be done over a period.

if he doesnt eat the crickets then he isnt eating at all and there is an issue.

try adding a bit of garlic to the food to stimulate appetite and make sure that the tank is a proper setup with the water quality and decor ect.

there are other people more experienced than i on the subject of weening food or bringing back lost appeitits. you need to find out which is the issue first.

so step one try to feed crickets

i hope the fish do well

could be normal, some go on hunger strike for days even weeks without apparent reason.

well i bought crickets and fed him he ate those right up so now ive just prolonged the bad habit i want to get rid of. Oh well at least he ate
