have only had him for about 4-5weeks but i had to show you this...

the first picture is him 2 days ago right before i moved him over to the big tank bc he was in qt since i got him. that picture is pretty much what he looked like since day 1.

picture 2 is him today in the big tank. TOTALLY different look on him. my female MM kinda did the same thing but took her a few weeks of being in the tank. he just went from ehhhh to BAM im a bad dude haha

Aah so you got that male from Laz hahhaha LOL..

It's pretty much the same on all rays that I have had. I QT'ed all rays for minimum 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, I'd test their poop under a microscope, if all clear then I put it in the main tank and I surprised my self every single time....

QT does stress them a little bit, at least mine does. I keep small ray in 20G and larger ray in 40g breeder.

He looks great...I envy you..

That was a great pick up AJ. Laz seems like a good guy to work with.
 
He's looking great man. Thats basically how he looked when he came in. They tend to look great for a couple days, then colors fade or lighten as they go through QT...then back to stunner. He compliments your female very well....keep me in mind the day they breed ;) Hopefully Ill be out of FL by then...lol
 
trust me Laz, you and a couple other guys will be the 1st pple i call if and when my MM breed!!

the male and female actually look like twins! so im loving that!
 
WOW so nice how large is the disc at this point??
