Its taking me a while to get this right! My skills are a bit rusty in the aquascaping department after taking a break from this hobby, but the tank is coming along. Last night i reworked the tank and am liking it better. Still not satisfied but once I black out the back it will pop a little i think. So here's a before and after pic.

As long it's suit your eyes and feel :)
For me I refer the first picture hehehe
*Have you ever consider to swap out those plastic tube with glass tube? It's much better cause glasses tube look invisible and look more professional :)

I actually finally blacked out the back of the tank and all equipment is pretty much either covered up or blended in now. Except for that damn heater.

I agree with the glass tube idea, I also would hide the thermometer cord a little. I hide my heater and thermometers in a sump but for the nanos I'll check it every once and awhile and not leave it actually in the tank. I like how in the second picture the angle of the driftwood helps shine light on the moss attached to it but in the first picture the driftwood that looks like a cave I would have left because I'm sure the fish appreciates that. But it's all preference either way you did a good job it looks like. Where's the fish?

Here's one of my new Gold Head Calvus. Other stock includes a White Seam Bristlenose, but that's it for now. Just getting it going. Also, i finally blacked out the tank so mostly everything's covered up.

They're commonly called lily pipes, and they look awesome so long as a tank doesn't have algae problems. Because they are clear, any algae buildup looks worse than it is.

As someone who uses glassware, i can tell you the algae isnt the biggest problem, trying not to break it when cleaning/ removing it is lol...

I think i've been through 2 lily pipes and one input pipe from accidentally breaking them when cleaning / re-installing...
