Hello all
So algae has gotten out of control in my tank - the curse of having tap water phosphates over 3 ppm. Just about every type is in there (no bba…yet). Considering the only occupant is a red wolf fish, anything that will eat algae is out. At the moment, the main type is cyano. Ive tried chemiclean in the past, but after a few bad experiences I’m done with it.
That brings me to the probiotic method. I remember a while ago I was suggested to use rid-x but that it would take a while to see an effect. Me being impatient went the chemical route with little success.
So that brings me here.
I have a good enough idea of what to do from the sticky on it, but if anyone has any wisdom on the topic they’d like to share, I’d be glad to hear it.
Thank you and happy holidays!
