So not thinking yesterday I bought bio gold floating pellets.. the "mini" ones and my Africans apparently were fed sinking which is what I thought I bought to begin with but was in a hurry and didn't really look. Just grabbed the bag I always used to get my SA/CA cichlids I used to have. Anyways they didn't go for it one finally sunk and they grabbed it and I noticed it was almost as big as their head haha. I've never really liked to feed my fish food bigger than they can take it at once.. to me it's just asking for contamination.. So I went out and bought two different kinds of omega one pellets. THE SINKING KIND :D. The one is the super color kelps I read they like they're plants so I figured they would like this? and then they normal super color pellets. The stock I got when I very first got into fish keeping were just as small so I got it for them to eat and they loved it. then switched to bio gold hen they got big enough. However before I open these and waist $25 I'd like to know what those of you with African cichlids think about the kelp pellets.

If you want to turn the floating pellets into drinking pellets here's what you do: (I know this doesn't answer your question, but why waste?)
Take a syringe. Remove the plunger. Fill with the amount if food you want to feed. Put you finger over the tip. Half fill with water. Put the pluger back in. Turn the syringe so the tip faces upward, remove finger. Push the plunger in until all the air is expelled. Cover tip with finger, pull plunger backward thus creating a vacuum inside the syringe. Hold for a couple of seconds. Remove plunger, your floating pellets are now sinking pellets.

Sorry for the derail
But that isnfreakin awesome jwh

I think they will eat them and if your Africans are mbunas they will be good for them. Also you can combine your pellets so they get a bit of every thing.
+1 on the way to turn the floating pellets to sinking.
