I'm about to order my acrylic and wana make sure i get the thickness correct.
the tank is 18" tall and is acrylic. I've been getting mixed answer some saying 3/8 some saying 1/4... soo i thought i would ask.

I always tend to go thicker. Better safe than sorry IMO.

I would agree with u on that, considering the tank will be holding around 135 gallons I dont think 1/4 would hold out as long as 3/8" would.

FYI - My old 140g. acrylic started bowing at that thickness....

at what thickness 3/8? the tank is 70" long 18 " tall and 24" wide.

i gota log in for that link.. not gona sighn up:)

The tanks will have tops so there will be extra support, but are u serious i have to go 1/2? if thats the case i will drop it down to 16" and go smaller. I need the smallest possible without it bowing.

so should i be fine with 18" acrylic at 3/8" or should i drop the height down to 16"

Didnt you build an acrylic tank that was bigger than 140 gallons?
