If you've been looking to setup a fish room, you'll find it's kinda hard to find info on the topic, after about 4 hours of searching I've found about an hour of quality reading on the subject. So I'm going to post my fish room build progress in the hopes it'll help anyone else. I'll also post questions here, so that people who have a fish room can chime in.

My fish room will be small, 3/4 of my garage. But it'll get my feed wet in building a fish room. measures, 12x11.

Day 1. I was set once I got off work at my LFS, to grab a truck and haul off some cabinets and other garage stuffs to my grandmothers. Several kinks thrown in that plan, meant I had to find something else to do today instead on the fish room.

So I repaired the first tank for the room. My 305 gallon recently purcahsed from a fellow MFKer.

My buddy Ben and I starting the dirty work. Repair on the cracked seam.

Not bad, for going to work, then working on the fish room. If I don't say so myself.

Question for day 1. I intend to run roughly 20 sponge filters. I have an air blower, that'll supply 2-300 outlets. runs on 350 watts. I have heard that it will produce a lot of heat as well. Which is a good thing. What other pump should I consider.

350 watts will cost me about $25 a month to run. If I buy a 100 watt one, it'll recover itself in the first year. However, do these smaller pumps produce any heat?

Also another question that popped into my mind today. How do people keep fry from getting sucked up into drains on automated water change systems? Simple sponges, while making sure they never plug causing a flood?

Nice seal of approval...is there a warranty though. lol Nice 305, what you looking to get in it?

Actually they're going to be steel stands. This is one of the setups I sold off, but I will have a 3 tier 6 foot stand, and a 8 foot, 2 tier stand.

tanks.
1x 305g.
1x 65g.
6x 20g.
3x 15g.
4x 55g.
Initially anyways. I have a little bit more room to expand, if i build a center island of tanks, probably another 4 55gs or 10g island.
