Beginner Fish

Which arowana and what size would be for a beginner? I have a tank size 55 gal and have a 5-6 inch pleco in it.

none of them are a good begginning fish

im going to predict that some people are going to say that a particular species is easiest to care for.

Because of thier size and how quickly they grow, No type arowana would be good for a beginning hobbyist.

you will also need a bigger tank as well. 180 i think is a good start. or 240.

Start at a 4000 gallon tank and then go to a 9 mil.

55 gallon? thats like putting an arowana in jail. So small, not fair to the aro.

its true.. get a Archer fish, or african butterfly fish.. that could be a good beginning topwater fish for you.

achers get to be about 10'' it'd be find for a great deal of time, but would start to become an awkward turner when fully grown.


but most never get that big anyway, so i dont know why i'm flapping my gums.
