i got some blue gravel some fake rock and plant decor
and a penguin 170 in a 20 gallon high tank
the fish i have is a electric yellow and i dont kno wat else to put if any
i am still in the cycling process so any suggestions would be totally appreciated
like would it be wise to put one or two more fish in there
if not how many more days weeks or months til i can?
is the filter sufficient for the tank size?

i really need some help as u can see so please the more help i can get the better
well thanks in advance.

No. Wait until cycling is over.

When cycling ends is not dependent on time. It varies. Keep monitoring your water parameters. If you receive results of zero ammonia and nitrites along with detectable level of nitrates, then that's where you'll start stocking your tank.

oh yeah and heres how it looks
not as good looking as most of the other tannks here
but its a start

My apologies for not answering it but I certainly can't as I have no experience with the use of that kind of filter.:)

I think it looks quite good, too...Just make sure to let it cycle b4 moving forward & u'll be fine :)
One thing though, that is an african cichlid you have in there - not good to mix with a lot of fish, best to stick with other africans & such when the time comes to add...& you'll be wnting a bigger tank as they grow, some can get rather large/territorial

your filter should be fine for now, you may want to bump it up to the penguin 330 if you stay with that type of filtration when adding more fish, though...the larger filter will circulate the tank much better

not a bad job for your first tank! I am sure though that you paid way too much for the fake rock stuff! natural is the way to go in my sometimes nsho.
i did a quick check on your filter and you did a good job on that. I always find its better to "over do" filtration for you tanks that way you know it can handle the loads! welcome to the addiction
