I have a 180g African Cichlid tank. Along with the cichlids, i also have two hesptetus odoe (African pike). I've had the pike for about 6 months now. Everything was going fine until last week. One pike has the left side of the tank, and the other one has the right side, it has always been this way. Last week i added 6 new cichlids, the next morning stomach on righty was HUGE and i noticed one of my new additons gone. Never eating any of my fish before and considering how i have plenty of fish in the tank smaller than the ones i added, i brushed it off as righty just being hungry. I added more fish, the same thing happened. Then today, he ate another one thats been in there for months. Its always righty, never lefty. They are both the same size but distinguishable, i am positive it is the same one every time. Is there anything i can do to tame him back to his passive attitude, the passive attitude he's had for six months up until now? I love them both and i'd hate to get rid of them, but so far im out about $120 because of righty's new snacking habit.

:iagree: Your fish may seem fine with other fish for the first couple of months but once the fish settles down and is more comfortable with its environment it gets more confident. My advice would to stop putting fish into the tank. After all african pikes are a predatorial fish
