I've been a user of MFK for a while now, but I never got around to introducing myself properly. I'm now on 99 posts, so I thought it would be a good time to get it done before I hit 3 figures!
I'm a South African expat living in Taiwan. I'm teaching 3rd grade at an international school in Taipei and have been in this hobby for around a year.
I have really enjoyed my time here at MFK so far, and spend a lot of my time reading everyone's posts and getting to know some like minded people from around the world.
There are the masters like Guppy and Oddball, who are quick to answer the newest of newbie questions and the most advanced ones, too. Redtailfool, Rallysman, Steve_89 and piranha45 are great at this, too.
Next two on the list are Neo and Trust! They are totally unique and their efforts give MFK an edge over other sites.
Then there are the niche aquarists who are experts in one specific area ... Rayman45, Peanut_Power (aka Pike_Power), Puffer_girl ...
We are also lucky to have a fair number of ladies represented, led by Ash and jenBLKAROWANA who (maybe) keep us guys in check and behaving properly.
There are also loads of characters, like Filthy Sanchez, ewurm, USMCtanker, Delgado and co.
The community sellers, Miles, fugupuff and others, are important mainly for the US MFKers, but I've really been enjoying fugupuff's recent thread on the fish he has owned.
Lastly there are the fish! Arapaimag's monster tanks, Steve_89's dats, DIESELMACK's peacock bass, woody-sun's monsters, Oddball's oddballs and the rest that give us inspiration to do better and get more fish.
It's these people and everyone else that makes MFK the place it is. I have really enjoyed reading all your posts, and I hope that I have contributed to it in some way ... I'm sure I'm still gonna be here for a looong time!
