Bella Union Tank

I have a group of F1 gymnogeophagus balzanii from the Bella Union Uruguay location where their parents were caught. Pretty simple tank setup so far in this 90 gallon. I'll be adding a group of F1 cichlasoma dimerus to this tank as well where they will grow out until they're moved to a 180 I have but can't setup until next year. I've really enjoyed watching these guys grow so far. Got them a few months back when they were just tiny little 0.25'-0.50" fry. They've put on some good size so far. Hoping I'll get a pair, thinking I will.

New and better video of the balzanii. Will update in another month. Very skittish little buggers. F1 Cichlasoma dimerus will be added to the tank later this week.

Thank you. I really like that substrate. I have never seen it in stores. I'll have to see if I can locate it. Do you happen to recall the brand?

Home Depot quit stocking my usual PFS. The current brand is a lot finer and prone to compaction. I hate it.

I get mine at a pool supply store in my area. Most pool supply stores should have it. 8 bucks for a 50 pound bag.

I'll check with some local stores. The problem is different brands differ greatly in size and color. Hopefully I can find that specific brand. Looks like its made in WA.
