Think they would do ok together in a 60g ? They would be the only fish, they’re both 5”. The Texas is in the 60g alone right now and the belly crawler is in my 75 at the moment.

They probably will fight being the only 2 Cichlids and for territory a 60 gallon is not enough space.

I agree with Mr. Lindsay, a full grown texas, especially a male, can get bulky and aggressive, and a 60g will need to be it's solo home, except possibly for some fast moving dithers (which may get eaten as well)

I have kept both (never together), and think they could (maybe) be combined if you had a 6 ft tank of 125 gallons or more.
I kept belly crawlers with Acarichtys, other Geophagines and Mesoheros gephyum in 150 gal. (although they allare much milder in disposition than Herichthys) without any overt aggression. The belly crawler below left of the shotbelow is about 8".
.
Herichthys on the other hand, are generally loners, and can easily reach 12" .

The carpintus below is about 10+" and wasn't done growing at the time the photo. I consider a 60 too small for even 1 adult Herichthyine
