Is it normal for him to have these spots on his head?

I know it's hard to see, but YOU try and get this guy to stop moving. He just has those dark brown spots on his head. It's probably normal, but I've never had this species before and I just want to be sure. He's still young, about 3 inches. Will the spots on his head disappear with age?

WELCOME TO MFK!! LOVE THE AVATAR!! SHOULD FIT IN QUITE NICELY HERE!!

About the belly crawler...it doesn't really look normal. My sp. 'cobra's got some black blotches on them. Never really figured out what they were, possibly from the driftwood or high pH water. If its not hurting the fish, I wouldn't be really concerned about it. If you are still nervous about it though, hit the tank with some Pimafix and Melafix combined for three days. That should help knock out anything quickly. If that doesn't help, don't loose hope as there are few other options. I wouldn't worry about it though...;)
