So I woke up this morning to a couple of things that brought a smile to my face. First I hear the door knocking and its my package from N-E cichlids. I got my orino peacocks and my delhezi in great condition with an extra orino. Thanks again Nick if you come across this thread. So I go to float my Delhezi since hes pretty small I need him to put some size on in the tank with my belonesox and I notice what I thought was a little splinter of driftwood floating up near the bag. I take a closer look and it was definitely a little belonesox. I near sprinted for the net breeder that I bought when I noticed that the female was a little plump gave it a rinse and hung it up in the tank. So now I have 3 little babies in a net breeder looking pretty hungry. I have hikari first bite food that I gave them but I dont think they are too interested. I'll be going out to the petstore today probably to pick up some brine shrimp or anything else you all think might be good to feed. I know I found 2 little ones that were dead. I think the dad got to them before I woke up and noticed them. Anyways I'll get some pictures up when I get a chance. For now is there anyone that knows of a good food that they have feed live bearer fry before??

Congrats! Was her gravid spot dark? My female is HUGE, but her gravid spot is not dark. Also, they have to be fed live food, they wont take hikari first bites. They actually eat each other if not fed. So either fry of other fish, or you could try some live brine shrimp.

awesome!
i hope i find some near my area.
they will only take live at that size.
brine shrimp,fish fry,bloodworms etc.
basically anything that wriggles alot and can fit in their mouths.

awesome i was thinking of getting a few females for my male but tragicly it was murdured by an evil blue twin spot gourami :irked::swear: i added the gourami to make a little more room in another tank the next morning the belonesox was on the bottom with its stomach torn open and its guts were removed  leasone learned gouramis can be nasty only other tank mates were a little jackdempsey who was fine with it never paid any attention to it pictus catfish and a leopard centopoma the wound was torn and pretty shredded so i know it wasn't a bite it was as if it had be torn apart poor thing these guys can't be kept with fish that are aggressive at all

hey thanks all you guys. I got them some brine shrimp and they downed it pretty well. I'm sorry it took me a little to get back to you guys. I wrecked myself on my r1 and I've been trying to wrap myself for a little while now. Thanks again guys I wont forget the pictures.
