Going to be setting up a Herbie style overflow this weekend (thanks to John and Jose's imput) and wondered if there was any benefit to run a larger primary drain standpipe going into the 1" bulkhead. When I made the old Dursos his site recommended a thin-walled schedule 26 pvc and I was thinking about starting with 1.5" and reducing it as it goes into the bulkhead. Is it safe to run both the primary and the emergency as a striaght pipe or would you just turn the Durso 90 facing up or add a screen to prevent anything big from going down the pipe? Thanks in advance.
