Hi Guys

It looks like my Emperor Snakehead has got an issue with his spine.
Over the past couple months he's become increasingly bent (curved).
I know he's an old boy (going on 10 years now) but I don't know if this is caused by old age or if something else is wrong.

Has anybody seen this happen before? is there something i can do to correct it?

Cheers.

What size tank is it in and how big is the fish? Also what are the water parameters? Usually a bent spine seems to come from not having enough room to turn around.

the fish is about 45cm and the tank is 1.6m*65cm*55cm he's been in that tank pretty much all his life (almost 10 years) so he's been fully grown for a while now. He's never had a problem turning around. I check the parameters and do water changes frequently. so there is nothing wrong in that department.
One thing i have noticed is that he's not very keen on chicken anymore and will only eat live fish. He's become very picky in his old age.

I used to see the post about of bent auranti.
The answer is lack of vitamin C.
I don't is it the same with your emperor.
How about it food?
Ole'
