I have one Berdmorei Botia who is about 3.5" in length. Today I put 4 Lohachata Botia in that are about 2"-3". Unfortunately I didn't do my research as I normally do, and the Berdmorei just won't stop chasing the 4 Lohachata around. I can actually hear him snapping at them! Should I remove him, or do you think this could be temporary?
I won't be able to take him out till tomorrow if I would have to seeing as to how it's so late on a Sunday, and everything is closed.
I hope they survive the night!!

So, do you think this is just "a phase"? Lol

Its a matter of tank size and hiding spots. My tiger botias are little terrors and them and my red tails get along for most part. When its feeding time they will chase each other some for food.

They're in a 55g with driftwood covering almost half of the bottom. The tiger just didn't even let them get close enough to the wood though. They're so scared they're staying at the top of the tank. Poor little guys.

Another option is to take him out temporary and redo the decorations and then put him back. Doesn't always work, however it does a lot also.

Nah, theyre aggressive. Plus blues and splendida are aggressive and such different types of loaches.

Thankfully the Lohachatas are still alive. They must be stressed like crazy though. They won't come down to the bottom. They probably spent the entire night up in the corners of the tank. What would you guys do? Remove the 4 Lohachatas or the berdmorei? It's a tough call for me. I think the berdmorei look so cool! But, I also love the way a nice group of Lohachata look digging around in the sand!
