How bout it? Whats the best solo CA/SA "wet pet" for a 75g/285L (48 x 18 x 20)? Post pics if you got em.

I love Trimacs, my favorite fish. A 75 is the absolute smallest tank I would consider. I have mine in a 90 and he is starting to outgrow it at 9". I'm going to get a 150 just for him. I had him in with a 7" RD and had to move the RD to a 75 to keep it from gettin killed. I really like my RD it is loaded with personality and one tough customer in it's own rite. So I would say you have many choices for a 75, you could do a pair of RTM's or Freddi's just about any Amphilophus except a male Trimac or Chanco. Lyonsi would be great in that, tank looks like a Trimac not as big and without the I want to kill everything I see aditude (Rapps has them now). I'm sure you will get many other ideas. I have both JD and texas, and i really like them. I say get a really great specimen of a fish and let it grow by itself and be happy. If you get a Texas, make it a Carpinte (escondido w/e i cant even keep them straight anymore) or if you do a RTM, get a female with blood red coloration (plus females stay smaller) or perhaps a EBJD, or a badass hybrid like a manaconda (ha good luck) or something along those lines. Ive been wanting a nice rare/cool hybrid for its own tank for a while.
