Best air pump???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I never in my LIFE thought I would have ever plugged this company (I only go there for my dog food) but Petco has there own brand of pumps that they just started making. So far, I'm impressed. The one I got says it runs up to a 210 gallon tank. It has 4 air outs, and it has an adjustable air output dial. I'm running it on my 180, and it does very well so far.
Note: I cannot speak to the longevity of this item, as I've only had it for about 1 month. But it runs the 4 air outs very well (enough power) and is quiet. The adjustable air output does work. Best part......$24.00, that's right, $24.00 - can't beat that!

I was a big fan of the whisper line up until recently. (I had two burn out in a month with the usual symptoms of pump failure)

I have never had a Rena fail on me so I went back to using them almost exclusively.

coralife luft pump (used to be tetra luft pump). have 3 running now, one for many years. the oldest one is running sponge filters on 3 different tanks with over 40 ft of total air tubing. have never replaced any part, not flappers or diaphragm. very impressive pump that will run with high backpressure.

whisper 30-60, from walmart. it's quiet and powerful. i use it to to push air through a long, 18-inch airstone.
