Best Algae Eating And Tank Cleaning Fish For Grass Pickerel Tank

I have some grass pickerel in a very heavily fake planted and lots of driftwood tank. The pickerel are about 6 inches and growing incredibly fast. Are there any fish or snails that I could put in the tank with them to help clean the algae and substrate that would not be eaten? Would a large Synodontis Catfish be a possibility?

Maybe a large ancistrus pleco.
