Best and Cheapest way of heating a pond

Hey all,

Just wanting to know what is the cheapest way of heating a pond for peacock bass. It will be about 600-1000 gallons.

Solar would be the most efficient (if it is sunny most days in your part of AU) but you may need an additional heat source for nighttime/cloudy days.

Insulation and covering the pond are key...

Maybe running piping from the water heater.
