I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good filter systems, pump systems, heat systems, and other things I would need for a 100 gallon plexi glass tank that I'm about to buy.

Welcome to MFK. The usual canister filter recommendations are probably Fluval FX5s, Rena XP3s and an assortment of Eheim filters. Good power filters are Hagen Aquaclear 110s and Marineland Emperor Bio-Wheel 400s. You can put one of each, a canister and a power filter, on there or you can have a DIY wet/dry to save some money. I use Jager and Visi-Therm Stealth heaters and I highly recommend both brands. Not sure what wattage you will need in Cali weather. Perhaps 250 watts will do? Others can help you out there. Good luck with the tank!

If you have the $$, Ehiem is the best filter. You only need one (sized for the tank). In the long run, it's better than multiple filters as some people use (less maintenance). They are really designed well and will last forever.

I like Ebo Jager heaters. The glass is thicker than most and it's generally a much better built heater. Again, not the cheapest, but you were asking for good, not cheap.

For something like a 100 gallon tank, I'd buy the appropriate sized Eheim canister filter for it. One 250 Watt or 300 watt heater ought to be fine, assuming you keep room temperature fairly reasonable.. You might want to buy a second heater for back up. Never had an Ebo Jagger give out on me (although I'm sure they wear out eventually).. but I've had other brands.. Nothing worse than noticing your heater broke and the tank is cold and all the stores are closed.. That happened to me, so I now have a few spare heaters just in case.
