Hi, was just wondering which fish stores you have visited in the north east region and which is the best- specifically for cichlid species?
Cheers.

I would call it a big store but Waterbury aquarium in Waterbury ct is pretty cool. Also carry many cichlids

Check out puppy center and aquarium in West Hartford ct. They have always been my go to LFS. However, they are currently undergoing some changes to the property so their fish stock and system is also undergoing some changes

The OP is from the UK. OP do you mean the NE of England or the NE of the US? I would think he would specify the US if that's what he ment since he's in another country, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

It doesn't show his location in the app

the best fish shops in the northeast of england are:

fish alive in durham
chilton aquatics in
s and c aquatics in stanley
blaydon exotics
tyne valley aquatics

i'm sure there is more but these are ones i've used in the past and are very good.

Here are some of the LFSs I recently toured between NJ and MD that are worth visiting:

Fish Hut in Saddle Brook NNJ (lot of Africans but not much CA/SA),
Absolutely Fish in Clifton, NNJ (Good selection of African and CA/SA, store is small so the selection is limited),
Shark Aquarium in Hillside, NNJ (lot of CA/SA and oddball rare fish),
Aquarium Paradize in Belleville, NNJ(not a big store but must see for if you are interested in odd ball, FH and CA/SA),
Aquarium Center in Blackwood, SNJ (big store with good selection of African, CA and SA and the best price in the northeast)
Hidden Reef in Levittown, PA (big store with salt and cichlids, but lighly populated so selection is limited )
House of Tropical in Glenn burnie in (Baltimore) MD (Big store with huge selection of Africans and CA/SA including big full grown fish)
Giant Aquarium in South Philly (Asian store with high grade parrot, FH, odd ball and arrowana)
Captain Nemo's in Norristown, PA (not as good as with former management, but still has some good selection)
ThatPetPlace retail store in Lancaster, PA (big store with good selection and occasional rare find)
