Best breeding box / net for african cichlid?

I have a 55 gallon tank with an aqueon 55 quietflow. My female p acei is pregnant for her first. I would like to keep the fry if she manages to hold to term. What breeding box do you suggest I buy to keep them alive?

The ones that hangs outside the tank usually work best, I've had bad luck with the meshed breeding nets that go inside the tank...

The best is a 10 gallon tank with a sponge filter and heater. Only good way to raise fry. Well or you can use something larger to hold water. I have used 5 gallon buckets and rubbermade trash cans.

That's nice. It would work great for any fry. Does it have a top that stays on? The small nets I have tend to get turned over by my pacu and sink the the bottom.

That box could work. A while back I seen someone do it with Tupperware. Just made a bunch of tiny holes to cycle water and used a small balloon to keep it afloat. Im sure anything that can trap air inside it could work

go 2 target/wallmart n buy a 40g tub clear for less than 10 bucks

just use a 10gallon tank be a lot better for raising the fry in until they are big enough to go back in the main tank.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I can't really afford or have much room for another tank. I would like one that can be 'attached' to my tank that way I don't need another filter and heater.

A floating breeder basket is easy to make. Use a plant basket, 4 pieces of PVC pipe, 4 elbows, and some zip ties. A lid can be made from plastic needlepoint material (available at WalMart) and attached with zip ties.
