+1 this should be the first thing you think of. Especially when dealing with breeding pairs cause you don't only got to think of parents but fry too

In my experience most cichlid parents provide excellent care to their young. As far as fun to watch goes I find watching my fish in general fun lol. As far as selling babies don't expect a profit

Best parents are convicts in my opinion but other then convicts I would say Jack dempseys, funniest to watch I would say angelfish/Bolivian rams, good size I would say blue acara/ firemouth.

Best parents?

Most cichlids are good parents. The ones you read about not being good are generally fish that have been so line bred that the parental instincts are pretty much gone (angelfish, discus, rams, etc).

Funnest to watch?

That is a matter of opinion. I enjoy watching just about any cichlids breed, but my favorites are mouth brooders. I love watching geophagus spawn and hold/tumble the eggs/fry in their mouths.

Good size

This will depend on tank size. Not only do you need to make sure there is room for parents, but also room for dozens or hundreds of fry, unless you intend to relocate the fry (which it doesn't seem like you do with questions about most fun to watch and best parents).

Not convicts done that
I want to grow and sell babies any ideas?

Unless you are breeding rare cichlids (electric blue jack dempseys, electric blue rams, super red severums, etc) or cichlids that are difficult to raise (discus, angelfish, etc), don't expect a profit. Breeding and selling offspring will help offset the costs of the hobby a bit, but it won't likely get you to quit your job and become a full time fish breeder.
