I would go with Model # DAPMH8. I have the DAPMH15 and I actually think it's too much for my tank. I've only had it for about a month, but it seems to be a well made pump (way nicer than the cheap-o stuff you find at petsmart/petco) and it's very quiet. Call them up and let them know what you are looking to do and they will hook you up with manifolds, stones and tubing...everything you need. I've ordered a few things from them and have been very happy with all my transactions.

Good luck.

That would be what is called a bubble disk: http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Bubble...652A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333248474&sr=8-1

There are multiple models available. They can be difficult to deal with as sometimes they float because of the plastic shell. I prefer the sandstone only ones without a plastic shell, sure they break apart over time but atleast they sink.

i keep having to right mine up because they float around and turn over. such a pain. i haven't gotten around to attaching them to slate pieces to hold them down.

I agree these can be a pain for sure.. I have 3 in my tank now and I had to silicone them to rocks to keep them down and right side up.

I have the same bubble disc but have given up flipping it over. my male leo moves it where he wants it.

I just hang big ball air stones in mid water the ball is about 3inch

The amount of air you get depends on the air pump you have

I got bored of upgrading mine so just got a big pond air pump they are not that expensive and save you money in the long run to buy it once

The only problem I have is the big pump used to keep blowing off the non return valves which was a pain as when they come off you get a loud whistle and the other airdromes slow down

I solved this by super glueing them on

I would recomend getting a big air pump and putting 3-4 air stones in the sump along with the ones in the tank
This helps aerate the media

Anyone know a good weighted disk? Mine just floats all over the place. Would love to find a heavy disk with plastic around the edges so my rays cant eat it

Checkout eBay vamptrev there are loads on there up to about 9 inch with or with the plastic around the outside
