best bulb for fish only tank?

Right now I have colormax bulbs on my 125gal. I really dont like the pinkish tint it seems to give the tank. Sugestions on a good bulb for a fish only tank, no plants. 10,000k?

Personally I like the look of 6700k. If it's a T8 fixture you can just get them at your local hardware store.

for some people 6700k are a little yellow i personally like them the best 10,000k tend to wash all the colors out with a really white light however it does look a lot brighter anything over 10k looks blue but it will make some colors glow its all personal preference

I use both 10k and 6700k. I like the look of 6700k the best. The color looks more natural.

i like the 10000K and actinic. when they mix it's like "pure" white light and the colors really POP!

I did the same thing as biggourami, but I didnt like having 2 bulbs. A friend recommend power-glo (from coralife) and its even better than 6700k

I use 18,000k aqua glo bulbs on my tanks.

i've got an 18,000k powerglo on my 29g and it's got a pinkish huge that kinda bugged me until i switched to play sand and put in some driftwood, now it's too yellow. i've got 6500k lights on the rest of my tanks and they look pretty nice.

Try adding one 6700k with the colormax, this will provide a broad spectrum.
