Best camera for aquarium photography.

There is no one camera that someone can say is THE best...there are pros and cons to every different one.
All depends on your budget too.
 
use an old camera phone and shake violently

Word. There are people who have DSLR's and know what they're doing, take great pics. But I've also seen people with DSLR's who take photo's that look like **** and I could have took with a nice P & S.
 
i'll agree with everyone else. you can have a $4k camera and not know anything about it and take crappy pics. you can have a $200 camera and take amazing pics because you know how to use it. its gonna depend on the camera (to a point), lens, your skill, lighting, etc. do research and find something you like. if you go the SLR route, find a lens with a low f-stop, better for low light and are quick
 
i have a nikon D40 and i love it. you can get decent pics with a point n shoot, but they will never look the same as what you can get with a dslr
