Best cichla for 200-250gallon?

I want something that looks great and grows fairly fast.

I was thinking Ocellaris. Are they good beginner cichla? Do they do fine as singles in a monster comm (catfish, datnoids etc)?

i would do monos i think they will be fine if you have a big cat though and a small medium p-bass the cat would probaly eat it

My occelaris was the best fish I have ever owned. I miss him to this day. Thanks goodness I still get to see him every week in his huge tank at the Fly Fishing store down the road. They would be an awesome beginner cichla as they were my first. They grow fast so be ready

The cat will be nothing that gets over 2 feet. Probably gonna end up with something like a lima shovelnose. The pbass grow fast, right?

i owned a monster florida ocellaris. ocell gets big and bulky and move like rockets. i think orino or kelberi would be a better choice for that tank since they grow slower and dont get as big

I would say orinos are the way to go they will last you longer in the big tank and won't cost as much as a kelberi
