best cleaner to use

was given a tank by a friend and was wondering what is the best cleaner to use . the prev. owner said the fish cought some sort of fin fungus and died.i want to clean and kill possible contaminants in tank/thanks

bleach it and then rinse it out reeeeeeeeeeeally well before putting anything in it, thats the only way i know to do it if anybody has a better idea or i'm wrong please correct me

Bleach it with a 1:20 dilution of bleach. Rinse and let dry. Once it is dry all the bleach will have evaporated. No need to rinse it over and over, chlorine evaporates quite speedily so once the water is all evaporated so is the chlorine.
