best color sand for black rays

i never really used white sand with my rays but my wife is driving me crazey about our display tank in the living room.she wants to put white sand with the black rays i have.what color looks the best.i think white sand will make the rays look darker but i use black sand with my henlei and it doesnt define their color.maybe white will look nicer with a solid black background.any suggestions or pics you can share

You should limit yourself to sands that would actually work with rays before deciding on the colour, theres actually quite a few that wont work well with rays.

Pool filter sand? It's not PURE white, but its pretty light. I havent noticed anyone post about a pure white sand that actually works though.

I just pulled the sand out of my tank... I thought about it and bare tank is a better choice IMHO.

Then you need good filtration to clear the poop fast. i did not even noticed the water was cloudy, when my ray gave birth, cos the water cleared up in 15mins.

do u have a link to the exact type of sand you use? it looks like nice big grains also...
