Well I decided to do some aranging in my tanks and move fish around. Put bigger fish in the bigger tanks and group the smaller growouts.

Right now the best combo that is working for me is in a 50 gallon breeder.

1-Beani male 4"
1-Argentea male 5"
and one of my Cutteri males 3.5"

They are getting along so well that there is no territories at all, no flaring, no chasing nothing.

The Beani Lip locked with the Cutteri for maybe 5 minutes when the Argentea and Cutteri were put in his tank but after that PERFECT.

You guys have any calm perfect tanks??

well for combos mine has been working out great. it took a little while to put and pull fish out to see what i could do but in my 180 gallon. i have a 13 inch jag, 9 inch female festae, 10 inch buttikoferi, 8 inch veja, 6-7 inch blue dolphin, 8 inch motoro stingray, 15 inch ornate bichir, 8 inch endilicheri bichir and a bowfin. my jag and festae paired up and started making problems but after i removed the jag for a month and readded him everything is back to norm. they been in there for along time now. imo all combos will work its just a matter of trial and time to see which ones will work with each other. i hope yours do great.

you remember way back when cross? you kept asking me how many cichlids i was going to put in my 125 at the time i had something like 20 in there and kept playing around until i found out which ones would work and they made it to the 180.:) i like these kinds of threads to sse what some people get to work out. i always hear dovii cant be kept with anything but time and time again i see peeps ending up with docile dovii.
anyone else care to reply? id like to here your mixes

I have jag, green terror, female jack dempsies, red devil, and jurapari together. Everybody gets along great to my surprise. No pairs and young fish I think is why its working for now.

I don't have a Jag or Dovi in my mixed tank. I have a Lrg Frontosa, med Red tail Shark, baby Synspi, Synodon cat, Lyonsi, and a Gold Severum. The Shark is the biggest pr_ck of them all. Always on the hunt to pick at someone. But all in all the tank works well! Im very happy with it.

Another tank that I have that is running smoothly is my 125 of course everyone will be moved around once I get another tank (210g)

But here's the stock
1-Dovii male 8"
2-Jags male and female male is 12" female is 13" paired up and laying eggs
1-large Female Synspilum 10"

As well with NO problems from any fish. Had problems with the Dovii and my texas but the texas was put into a 240. As of now the tank is perfect.

Yes I remember The 125 Fishguts all too well lol. You had quite a bit of fish in there but I am glad things are doing well for you.
