Best diet for maximum GATF growth?

Any high quality pellet powerfed to your fish will give great results. As long as you pick a good quality staple pellet, you really can't go wrong. I've had great luck with Hikari Jumbo Carnisticks.

I'd get the fish completely off of feeders, for the obvious health issues. Plus, pellets are cheaper lol. At least where I'm at.

It took me a few months to decide to break my gatf and then figure out how to do it. Once he finally started taking pellets regularly and I was able to powerfeed him, he shot from 4" to 8" in about 3 months, which is awesome growth for an ATF.

My two little growouts are both going at about a 1.5 inch a month pace right now too on Jumbo Carnisticks.

I would think massivore would yield the best growth out of the normal pellets people use, just by the amount of protein it contains. I know some NLS formulas also would be comparable, but I don't know the names of their foods other than the normal stuff. I'm using the normal Hikari food sticks (trying, at least), and my plan is to rotate the pellets with different fish fillets and shrimp.

I think it's just easier and cheaper to feed pellets. Massivores claims that each pellet contains the same nutritional value as 1.8 of a goldfish

This. I've never had any luck getting any of my tigers to take frozen. The payaras are all over it though.

Pellets and fresh/frozen seafood are both a good food, none is better than the other. It's just important to stay away from live.
