I currently feed my GT floating pellets for cichlids, he was raised on krill and still eats it, i also feed him blood worms. anyone got good suggestions on food for him? theres pics of him in my last thread about sexing him :P brand names would help im going to the shop tomorrow morning.

You should keep feeding him a high quality pellet food for cichlids as his main staple. NLS is one of the best but there's plenty of others too. Other foods such as shrimp, earthworms and krill etc should be fed as well for a varied diet.

High quality pellets and a varied diet of other foods- frozen or freeze-dried krill, brine shrimp, blood worms, etc, fish fillet, fresh shrimp, live foods (no feeder fish) and various pellets.

I have a GT, and I feed him Hikari cichlid gold, omega one shrimp pellets, frozen brine shrimp, and earthworms. (He's four inches right now, and I'll probably get krill as he gets larger)

Hikari is probably the most popular, because it is good quality, easily acquired, and relatively cheap. I've also heard good reviews of NLS, Omega one, and Dainichi.
Also I hear great reviews about hikari sinking carnivore pellets. I was going to get some the other day, but there weren't any in stock.

sounds great thanks for all the great advice yet again, he will have the 55gallon to himself tomorrow.

Per oz its not too bad. Around $22 for 13 oz I think. Sinking carnivore is like 5.50 for 2.6 oz.

i m gonna go with the massivoire delight, and krill diet, thanks for all the wonderful help, seen that greenterra's fish is so greatly effected my decision :P
