Best Discus Colors

Will discus show better colors in white substrate or a darker substrate? Or does it matter? I am setting up a 120 with some discus, and would like to know.

I prefer a light/white substrate...a darker one would promote their colors to darken and if you get Pigeon Blood type discus, their peppering would show more.

thanks - i like both dark and light sand, just wanted to know which one was better Ill go with white

it does not matter, discus will not change color because of the sand color.

they will show stress bars and pepper more often with dark sand............go with white!

They'll look better with a white substrate.
