Best dither fish?

I had good luck with tin foils as dithers for a lot of years. Pitcus cats are always in motion... docile... and fast enough to get away from just about anything.

Tinfoils for me...they do well.

tinfolis will not work long in a 55 they get to big. for a 55 i loke to use giant danios.

Agreed. Tinfoils & SD's are too big to really be dithers in a 55, danios are the way to go. I never thought of firemouths but I'd think the jag would end up killing them...along those lines how about cons?

I picked up 3 Red hooks today for dithers for my cichlids.

I do not recommend Giant Danios! My Oscar ate 2 of them when he was less than 5 inches long! Both Danios were around 2 inches if not 2.5 inches! Sooo... They do not get my recommendation.
