Best Dithers for Grammodes??

Grammode Dithers

Due to the natural shyness of Grammodes, and since I am adding only them (Eventually just 1 or pair max) to a 55, I have a question on the best dithers for Grammys

Giant Danios?? - Will they be ok? I had them in a 125 with a O, Texas, JD and a GT, and someone was driving them to jump! I know that they will become jumpers if threatened (My cat loves em)....

Silver Dollars?? - I use them alot, no sweat at all, good for Grammys?

Other Ideas to bring the shyness of a Grammode out??

Do you need to bring out the shyness or a distraction to keep other fish from injury. The first is what dither really means but since everyone uses the word "dither" for the second problem I'm kinda in shock someone really needs them for what they're used for.

I would go with SD's personally. If they would somehow make it to become a part of this tank later on they'll look great. IMO danios are too small and edible.

Really, both, but I am concerned about how shy the "Little Dovii" really is.

I have heard:

Giant Danios (We all know of my Struggles with the Giant D's)
Silver Dollars (A personal Fave, I have 10 total in my Tanks)
Tinfoil Barbs (Size could be a issue in a 55)
Tiger Barbs (Most likely lunch when the Grammodes get sick of getting nipped)

I'm Leaning toward the SD's........

any other ideas??
 
hmmm you could do tinfoils...those are always good.
 
IME Giant danios are to fast and little to no attention get's paid to them. I have them in with my Festae pair and he would much rather beat on her than chase them, they're just to fast and he knows it. Silver dollars would work better or even some male Cons or 5 star generals. Tinfoils will be to large for a 55g.

I am leaning heavly towards Silver Dollars. I have had little success with Giant D's. Your right, too fast to be an effective Dither

Tinfoil Barbs will be too big.

Male Cons are also a thought.....
