I'm pondering my options for what kind of filter to have for a 240 gallon tank. I figured the best advice I could get would be from 1st hand experience from you guys. I was thinking a canister filter made of 4" PVC, a wet dry, or a fluidized bed sump. Which has worked the best for you guys or what other filters are out there? I am running on a pretty tight budget so I would like the filter to be around $100-$150. Please let me know what you think! Thanks

atm building a wet/dry for my 120 useing a 40 breeder ( overkill ) got 40 from petcos dollar per gallon sale, some acrylic sheets for i think 20$ from local hardware store ( see how these work may be to thin) the pump is the expensive part but got lucky and local place had all "pond" stuff on sale includeing some mags.. so got our mag for 50% off.... so far less then 100$ invested not includeing the pump and the only thing im missing are my return lines.. so about 15$ in hoseing? but i can easily fit 10 gallons of bio media or more.. the plan is to upgrade the tank in the future but keep the filter.

I have a tank I built of 239 gallons and I use a 75 gallon FBF with my own version of K1 (drinking straws cut at 1/2" pices)
