Most will state that New Life Spectrum pellets are best due to nutritional value.
I personally like other brands aswell Ocean Nutrition is one my choices.

Not sure it is the best, but I like Hikari Cichlid gold. I have been it using for years with good results. Fish have grown well and the food doesn’t seem to dirty the water.

I think there are some decent pellets out there.

New Life Spectrum and Northfin being the best in my opinion. Between the two I'd edge it to Northfin, can't go wrong with either or.

I personally believe fresh/frozen food soaked in Vitachem is likely even better.
