Best external filter

At present I have 2 eheim external cylinder filters and a small internal filter on my 150 g loach and Oscar tank. Looking to upgrade to a single external filter I believe brand new both filters say they do 800l an hour so want something to do in excess of 1600l per hour. Any suggestions or links be much appreciated

I would always go for 2 canisters, gives you redundancy.

I think the obvious upgrade would be to go to a sump.

Fluval FX series, FX6 for that size i would think ,That would be my suggestion

I would say an fx6 or eheim 2260

Youll need the largest of canisters-fluval fx6 or eheim 2260(or 2262 or 1500xl or whatever theyre calling it).

What are the dimensions of your 150?

As an alternative you could run 2 or 3x ac110 hang on back filters with nearly the same efficiency. It would cost less as well.
