I have build a 90 gal tank that i am going to use to breed feeders for my Pbass, Arowana, and Oscars and wanted to know what feeders are best to breed for lager fish .. aka grows larger and reproduces quickly ..
There are no good feeders that can produce enough to satisfy the needs of the fish you listed in only a 90 gallon tank. Even one of those species would require several large vats of feeders to consistently produce enough feeders to maintain regular feeding levels.
You're better off getting these preds onto pellet and stick foods. Then, supplement with raw shrimp, crickets, earthworms, etc.
ohh no i use pelets and shrimp for the main diet .. the feeders are for fun .. i figured that something i could feed to the fish once every month or two..
pellets are the best feeders
no intestinal blockage or parasites and better nutrition.
guppies and mollies reproduce fast but take some time to grow, i dont think you could maintain a good population with out a huge feeder tank.
if your fish refuse to eat regular food or your just stubborn. i would just order livefood that comes in a bulk supply of like blackworms or ghost shrimp
Can't see why of all the options available, feeders are really necessary. A lot of branded products are a lot better than the feeder trash we keep suggesting around.
