Best filter for 150

what's the stock and stocking level going to be?

an fx5 or 2 ac110's would work fine...imo

It all depends on how much you want to spend and how you want things to look. Sponge and HOB filters are relatively inexpensive and easy to service but an eyesore. Canisters are the opposite IMO but they all get the job done one way or another.

With only one fish in the tank I would probably run 2 ac 110's. They will be a lot easier to clean than a canister, much cheaper and just as efficient imo.

Ehiem 2262 if you can afford it. Best there is and the motor is on top so sand can;t get in it. FX5/6 would be second choice.

Agreed. But I would add two powerhead units, like the hydor evolution pumps, to get the water circulating.

So two AC110s and 2 Hydor Evo 750s. :)
