Best filter for a 55g?

I'm looking to upgrade the filtration on my 55g, I'm getting tired of the HOB filter I've had on there. I'm looking into Canister filters but I wanted to know what you guys recommended. I currently have a Penguin 350 on the tank and it isn't doing a good job filtering out the feces.

Or perhaps an Eheim 2217. It really depends on your bio-load. What's stocked in your 55g ?

13 Geophagus Tapajos, They are all about 2-3". I plan to thin them out as they grow.

I would just buy a Fluval Or Eheim rated for 75-100G and your good to go

Agreed I have an fx5 here and I'm using on a 55 it's great but its just what I have. If it was same price as another filter do it but a filter for 75-100 gallons would be great probably cheaper electric wise and cheaper up front.

If not looking to spend a lot of money then I'd go cascade 1500 rated for a 200 gal
