Best Filter?

ac mini and stealth 25 watt....... lol jk

for heater I would go with one stealth 250, and filter fx5.

of course it will all depend on your stock of fish for filtration.

I use 2W per gallon to keep a tank no more than 15*F warmer than the air temp...

In the winter my home doesn't get below 65*F... and my tanks stay around 80*F...

So I would suggest a 200W heater...

I first tried Visi Therm's Stealth heaters when they first came out (5+ years ago) and since then they have become the only heater I use. I own over a dozen of them and several of them are 5+ years old...

As for filters... there are far to many variables to consider to give rational suggestions only knowing the gallonage of the tank...

Back to heaters... using to large of a heater will cause the heater to turn itself on/off far more frequently... which will wear out the electronics that control the on/off function... and amazingly, this is the aspect of a heater that most frequently fails...

I meant heater lol
200 watt stealth on my 90 gallon does an excellent job. The house gets pretty cold as well id say 67-69 degree average and the tanks are kept at 80. Ive cranked up the heaters before though to 85 for ick and it never had a problem maintaining that temp.

stealths are very good some people swear by jaegers i have never used them so i dont have personal experience if you have a canister filter i really like the hydor inline heaters they are a little pricey but worth every penny imo
