Im buying a 125 gallon but it comes with one filter that filters about 70 gallons. Im not going to use that but was wondering what whtat would be best for my money. Something simple since I only have so much to spend. I was thinking an undergravel filter since oscars are going in and maybe a couple emperor 400 or a canister. Any advice would be helpful. There is going to be a large load on it since there will be (2) 4 in oscars 3 inch dempsey and a 3inch jag.

I've got two 125 g tanks with a pair of Oscars in each. Each tank has an FX5 and 2 AquaClear 110's plus an 850 gph powerhead. It's not that Oscars are any 'dirtier' than any other 1 foot long 3" wide fish. Any fish with that size and bulk would be messy.
Edit: Oh yea-UGF are worthless with Oscars/most cichlids because they're major diggers.
