Ive been reading the stickys but i want to knwo what you guys think, from personal experience, i have 2 overtop filters, and they just arnt keeping it as clean as i want it...i want it to be crystal clear....what have you guys found to be the best? thanks

a big fluval or eheim canister filter. use your HOB filters in conjuction with the canister and your water will be looking good

But you have to drill holes and stuff for all that? This is the largest tank ive owned so far. So ive never used the larger filtration methods.

Sumps are for drilled tanks... although you can use an overflow box...

Canister & Power Filters / HOBs (Hang On Back) are the most common types of filtration used on larger tanks besides sumps.

I am a huge fan of HOB filters for their ease of maintenance, low price and high flow rates...

Be sure to use a prefilter on your canister and clean it often... If you use a cansiter...

fluval fx5's are great. i have two eheim pro 2 2028's and an AC110 and my water is crystal clear even with two decent sized oscars.
