best filtration

I personally would run a large Eheim (2076, 2078, 2028, 2026, 2217) and a couple of AC110s.

I run 2 AC70's a Cascade 500 and a HOT magnum

For about 80 bucks you could do 2 AC110s, at 1000gph you'd be turning your tank over 20 times an hour.

i would get a bigger tank

i would use 2 AC 110's-- that should work great.

If it's overstocked you would be best served to aim for maximised biological filtration. A pair of cannisters such as Eheim 2215's would give you 5 times turnover and an enormous amount of biological filtration.

Of course it always depends on what you consider a high bioload. I ran a pair of 2217's on a 65 US.Gallon aquarium and can attest that although it kept the water crystal clear it gave the fish what appeared to be an uncomfortable time maintaining their position.
