Best food for African cichlids

This would depend on what kind of Africans you have.
If you have the genus Tropheus, Alcolapia or some of the algae eating mbuna, mainly vegetarians, a food heavy in spirulina and low in protein would be recommended.
If you have piscivores or carnivorous species such as Fossorochromis rostratus, Scianochromis fryeri or Stomatepia pindu a high protein food would work.
There are many omnivorous species, Tilapines and the like, where any generic food is fine.

Yep,figure out what you have or want to purchase and then find out what they eat.

I had a tank full of the same fish and I fed them HBH African Attack, sinking pellets. It was like crack for fish. Even the plecos would fight over it.
They love romine lettuce and cuccumbers also.

NLS.

There is a thread about this almost every week and the answer always remains the same...
