Best food for CA/SA cichlids

I'm trying to put some growth and mass on my Midas cichlid. I wanna know what food you have had the best success with. What food you use and know works well to grow your cichlid. If possible please say what the length/color/activity of your fish was before you added this food to your cichlids diet and after.

Jumbo Krill freeze dried. Nothing better in my experience.

Massivore, frozen shrimp. I haven't experimented much with freeze dried krill.

Just as important as food are your water changes! Lots and lots of water changes.

freeze dried krill has a lot of protein and is natural but I would not feed it as a staple, just to add some mass

I've had great success with NLS jumbo pellets even if the protein is less than the competition...otherwise I would suggest bio-gold+ or massivore if you really want too but it contains a lot of "fillers" and starch
It all comes down to the genetics anyway

Thanks everybody for responding! I'll def pick up on my water changes bcuz I've been slaking latley. Today I did a 50% water change. Iv also started looking up a lot of the foods you guys recommended and comparing them. Thanks again
